Chaplain Father Emil J. Kapaun Memorial

Your donation will contribute to the design, construction, and upkeep of a memorial statue of Chaplain Emil J. Kapaun at the Kansas Statehouse in Topeka.

The Department of Administration for the State of Kansas has entered into an agreement with the Chaplain Kapaun Memorial Committee and the Catholic Diocese of Wichita that all donations will be processed by the Catholic Diocese of Wichita's 501(c)(3) and kept in a separate account solely for the purposes of the Chaplain Kapaun Memorial Project, delineated in Senate Bill 431 of the 2023-2024 Session. This allows your gift to be recognized by the IRS as a charitable donation while not burdening the State with the day-to-day administration of the fund.

Your bank or credit card statement will show a charge from Diocese of Wichita, but 100% of the donation will go to the Chaplain Kapaun Memorial Fund.
