Fort Scott - Mary Queen of Angels

Fort Scott
Message from Pastor

St. Mary's Catholic School in Fort Scott is definitely a jewel in the Diocese of Wichita's crown. With a small, dedicated staff and very limited resources, the school continues to do great things. We have ranked as one of the top schools in the Diocese on the annual Steward Test for many years because our students truly learn their Catholic faith! We have earned the Governor's Award on state testing, which recognizes schools that perform in the top 5% of the state on assessments, and we have also earned the St. Thomas Aquinas Award for achieving academic excellence on all state and diocesan tests.

Our parish makes a tremendous commitment to St. Mary's Catholic School, and we feel that we, as a school, go above and beyond to make them proud of their investment. We often go without because we know the economic issues that we face in our community and in our parish. We try to only ask for our needs in the school and not our wants. We appreciate the opportunity to be a part of The Drexel Fund.
