Wichita - Holy Savior
Message from Pastor
Parishes that flourish have the following qualities: a sense of hospitality; a Liturgy that inspires active participation and offers an experience of God; parishioners recognize their parish mission; faith is nurtured through a Catholic school, PSR, and adult education programs; members are recognized as gifted and called forth to use their gifts; communal life abounds; and there is a plan for a sustainable and responsible future. It takes resources, human and financial, to make these qualities part of a strong parish. With the help of The Drexel Fund, we are making progress in realizing these areas. As a result, Holy Savior Catholic Academy is growing stronger and stronger because the parish is growing stronger and stronger.
Recently, we researched the high school graduation rates of our students who are promoted from the 8th grade to their high schools years. Since 2002, more than 90% of our students graduate from their high school years, a statistic significantly higher than the state and national average.
We remain so very grateful to our many benefactors who contribute to the St. Katharine Drexel Fund for the benefit of Holy Savior Catholic Church. We ask that God bless the generosity of our benefactors many times over.

What makes our school special
Holy Savior Catholic Academy is an excellent vehicle for evangelization for the Diocese of Wichita in the Northeast community and beyond. Our Catholic population in the school is the highest it has been in 15 years due to this evangelization.
What The Drexel Fund
means for us
HSCA is a community school in more ways than one. We use the money from the Drexel Fund to provide Catholic education to young learners who may never get to experience the beauty of our faith and education otherwise.
Our very existence has depended upon the generous support of the Catholic Community at large. It is a source of pride and encouragement that the whole Church recognizes and supports Holy Savior’s outreach and service to the predominately African American Community of northeast Wichita.
