Wichita - St. Mary's CathedralCathedral of the Immaculate Conception

Message from Rector

The Cathedral parish is grateful to be participating in the St. Katharine Drexel Catholic School Fund. Although we do not have a school at our location, we still have the responsibility of providing a Catholic education for our young people by paying their tuition at other parish schools.  We also have a responsibility for the upkeep of the cathedral church and its new facilities, which hinders how we are able to spend our limited income.

I notice a difference in our young people who attend Catholic schools, as opposed to their counterparts in public education, in terms of attitude, conduct, reverence during liturgies, and participation in parish life. Furthermore, our Catholic school students are oftentimes more adept at leadership. Catholic education makes a real and tangible difference in the lives of these children and in the life of our parish.

Fr. Adam Keiter

What The Drexel Fund means for us

Because we do not have a school, the money we receive from The Drexel Fund helps us pay the cost of sending our students to nearby Catholic Schools.
